I've decided that today is the day to go through and update as many skins as possible to FL9, as i was slacking during the beta.

So far, i've updated the PianoBlack skin that was originally in the FLipEXP pack to work with both FL9 and also FL8 for those of you not updating just yet.  Because it's been so long since that one was updated, it'll be available in the shop shortly (new shop coming soon as well)

Greenbeat is next (working on it now alongside some shop graphics).  This was by far the most popular single skin that I've done, so it gets priority today.  it should also be the easiest to update (in theory at least).

After that, I'm thinking of doing the Vintage, because I just like it that much, and following with the monstrous task of updating the Duck series.


Now, I can hear some of you thinking "****, now I have to buy ANOTHER version of the skin I like".  Not necessarily.  Only the PianoBlack is a paid update (because it was made for FL6/7 if I recall, and I hadn't gotten around to an update till just recently).  The rest are 100% free updates to FL9.  If you bought the skin for 8, you get it for 9 free.  If you didn't buy the skin, well then guess what, you can buy it for FL8 and I'll be posting the updates to FL9 all over.

I want to update mine, but I lost the proper files when my HD died. I'll be backing up my stuff now.
Are you going to be making any more skins after you've finished updating? I remember voting for a steampunk skin...

possibly more skins, but not sure.  Depends on time, motivation, and inspiration.  The Steampunk skin would likely be the next skin, if and when it happens

if you want the update, download it in the attatchment here (until we can get it listed in a better spot)

Now, remember, this is an update.  In GreenBeat, those of you who've installed it already know that there are two folders, one for 1280 px screens or less, and one for larger screens (its a minor looks thing between them).  Open the zip file to a place you can find it, like your desktop.  copy the files out of each folder into their proper Skins folder.  This is a manual process, not an automatic one.

Also, if you don't have the GreenBeat skin, this is not going to help you get a free skin.   But, you can still buy it cheaply here: FL Webshop
