Old Lyrics (Poem basically)
« on: May 13, 2010, 05:10:21 PM »
"Blinds"

1992,
staring at the blue.
Watching, waiting,
for that call from you.

She seems to sit still,
people passing by,
looking for a face
to recognize.

Postcards spread out on the floor,
alone, no one to care for.
Knees held tightly with wrapping arms.
Blind open wide, but her heart keeps closed.

Imagining years,
being held so dear.
Waiting for tomorrow
Her dying fairytale.

She imagines her past time,
pictures on her wall.
Time ticks slow,
One last smile.

EXTREMELY generic, emotional blahblah.

I liked it. (personal bias)

Opinions? You can't break me.

Lyrical poetry is meant to be sung with the prescribed music and hymn on it. The song has the oldest lyrics ever. It has something to say in which the lyrics implied to give.

definately more of a lyric than a poem. thats good though. these are good lyrics. these would be easy to sing, and adaptable to any rhythm.
