a few guys on here use it.   I used a demo of it a few years ago for about a week.  Its not radically different from FL (it has a step sequencer and, in my opinion, an inferior Piano Roll).  I found it to be kinda "stiff" in that, it wasn't immediately apparant to me how to make things more smooth and human.

Its considered professional grade, though, and I believe its supposed to handle audio recording and multiple in/outs well.  You can't go wrong with Roland in the end; though their stuff can be hard to understand, its built to do the job.

ah, i just realized that I kept notes on Sonar when I used it for that week, which I posted.  You can read those here
