Not sure how pianoroll velocity is related to automation? Velocity is a per note setting, not something you automate. If you want the volume of the instrument or mixer channel to change you use automation, but that's different from note velocity.

Also, using patcher sounds like an overly complicated way to automate, just rightclick on the parameter you want to automate and select "Create automation clip", or if the VST won't support rightclicking like that either use the "Browse parameters" function and right click on the parameter you want to automate there, or tweak the setting and then use the "Last tweaked" option in the menus to create the automation clip.

Many vsti's does not support velocity changes in Piano roll.

Oh yeah, that's a point as well, but nothing can help that. The only way to achieve something like note velocity on those is the method I outlined above, automating the instrument volume. Some VSTs have their own velocity setting, this can be automated too of course.

one way is to link note to vel or volume. or use the keyboard controller and link to volume or something. as outlined already not many if any vsts dont support piano roll volume stuff. but u can get a similar result i mentioned above. i know it works cause i do it all the time. u can use this same thing for filters as well or anything like panning, pitch etc.

can you explain?
